Who is someone you admire & why?
My father. Months before his birthday I found a perfect card to give him that embodied how I felt about him. I was so concerned that something could happen during that time that I sent the card before his actual birthday. It read “I’ve only had one hero in my life and I’m proud to say it was you”. He was a Navy pilot in WWII and after retiring from the military was recalled during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a rock solid, honest, intelligent man and I only wish I knew as much about him when he was alive as I have learned about him since he passed.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Well, of course when I was very small I wanted to be a fireman! But the first “real” thing I wanted to be was an Engineer. I loved to take stuff apart and figure out how to put it back together again. I broke a lot of stuff back then and often had spare parts when things were put back together. But here I am – an Engineer
What would be your personal motto?
Be Honest. Simple as that.
Jim a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
