LEEM Filtration Announces Acquisition and Integration of Durco Filters
Ramsey, NJ – August 2025 – LEEM Filtration is pleased to announce the successful acquisition and integration of Durco Filters, a historic brand with over 130 years of filtration expertise. The acquisition was completed on January 1, 2025, and Durco is now fully integrated into LEEM as the Durco Engineered Systems product line.
Durco Engineered Systems will continue its legacy of providing fully engineered filtration solutions — including pressure leaf filters, filter presses, tubular backwash filters, sludge dryers, and pressure nutsche filters. Unlike standardized filter designs, these systems are tailored to each application and can include not only the vessel but also pumps, piping, valves, actuators,
instrumentation, and controls.
“This acquisition strengthens LEEM’s position as one of the most comprehensive filtration providers in North America,” said Florian Van Assche – General Manager. “With Durco Engineered Systems, we can offer our customers both standardized LEEM Filters and fully engineered turnkey solutions — all backed by our U.S.-based manufacturing footprint and a dedicated aftermarket support team capable of servicing every system in the field.”
As part of the integration, Durco will maintain its own manufacturing location in North Tonawanda, NY, where it will operate under the same roof as the Durco office staff. This ensures continuity for existing customers and provides a strong base for future growth, while leveraging LEEM’s broader footprint for aftermarket support, leaf manufacturing, and patented cleaning services.
What This Means for Customers :
- Expanded Portfolio – from standardized LEEM Filters to fully engineered Durco systems.
- Aftermarket Support – parts, rescreens, and services available for all Durco installations, past and present.
- U.S. Manufacturing Strength – continued investment across multiple facilities, including North Tonawanda.
The integration of Durco Filters into LEEM Filtration represents more than a merger of product lines — it is a commitment to innovation, reliability, and long-term customer partnerships.
